The following tools are published on the MCP endpoint. AI clients discover and invoke them automatically based on your natural language queries.
Recommended Getting Started Path
If you're new to moomoo MCP, we recommend a step-by-step approach:
Step 1: Start with Read-Only Queries
Begin with query-only tools that don't affect your account, to verify your connection and permissions:
- Get real-time quotes — "What is the current price of Tencent?"
- View candlestick data — "Show me Apple's daily chart for the past month"
- Check positions — "What stocks do I currently hold?"
- Check account balance — "What's my account balance and total assets?"
These operations only require
quote:readandtrade:readscopes and won't affect your account in any way.
Step 2: Try Watchlist Management
Once queries work as expected, try lightweight write operations:
- Add to watchlist — "Add Xiaomi to my watchlist"
- View watchlist — "What stocks are in my watchlist?"
Step 3: Advanced Trading Operations
After you're comfortable, explore trading features (requires trade:write scope and trade password):
- View order history — "Show my recent trade history"
- Place / cancel orders — Always confirm the symbol and quantity before executing
